PRAYER TO BE PRESENT

Let me be present today. It’s all I have and it’s

where You will speak to me. The now holds

everything, rejects nothing and, therefore, can

receive You, too. Help me be present to the place

I am most afraid of; because it always feels empty

and it always feels like it’s not enough. Help me

find some space within that I don’t try to fill with

ideas or opinions. Help me find space so that

You, loving God, can show Yourself in that place

where I and our world are hungry and empty.

Keep me out of the way, so that there is always

room enough for you.
